Foaling News- December 2009

Foaling has now finished at Valinor Park this season, and after a run of colts, we finally have some more fillies on the ground. They were certainly worth waiting for, with VP Geisha having the most beautiful bay filly by Gazal Al Shaqab, whom we have called VP Gamileh, which is Arabic for beautiful.

VP Sonata has also had her first foal, a glorious chestnut filly by El Sidaqa (exp UK), whom we have called VP Serenade. Both of these fillies are destined for the show ring next year.

VP Total Eclipse also has a very athletic filly by Adras (UK), who is line bred to Palas, and definitely destined for a performance career.

Wimsey Matilda has an extremely typey, and outstanding grey colt by Adras (UK). This colt is superb, and we are very excited by him. He will be very tall, with an extreme head, and beautiful eyes and neck set. Given his pedigree, he is, as one would expect, a fabulous moving colt, and will be retained as a colt.

Sadly we lost Kie-al Khatir’s first foal, also another colt, but luckily we saved the mare.
